Enniskillen BID supports Project St Patrick

Project St Patrick with support from Enniskillen BID and FODC brings the annual St Patrick’s Day Parade and Fun Day to Enniskillen on Sunday 17th March! This years’ environmental theme is ‘Go Green in 19′ therefore the streets of our county town will be transformed with 40 shades of green. There will be also giveaways on the day that will help you to get into the festival spirit! 

This years’ free family fun day starts at 1:30pm on the Broadmeadow with a host of traditional and modern entertainment acts including Full Moon Fever. There will be a range of free activities including bouncy castles, balloon modellers, face painting and wandering mascots for all your selfie needs. Freebies on the day again courtesy of Lilley’s Centra sees chocolate fountains, green candy floss and of course their famous themed gelato in abundance.

On Lough Erne will host the Wakeboarding Leprechauns and St Patrick himself will be making his spectacular arrival via Castle Island before doing a meet and greet in the area. The parade itself will start from the Lakeland Forum at 3.30pm and ‘Snaking’ it’s way around Ireland’s only island town will be a mix of traditional and carnivalesque floats, music and dancing performances.

Kicking off at 3.30pm the parade features a traditional and carnival style floats, vintage vehicles, acrobatics, live music and much, much more. Check out the wakeboarding leprechauns and other water activities that make celebrating St Patrick’s Day in Ireland’s Only Island Town, a unique experience.

For those wishing to grab a prime viewing position there will be live music, pre parade on the Diamond in Enniskillen town centre, by Fermanagh Concert Band as well as walkabout characters to keep you entertained. Take time too, to view the entries to our children’s ‘Go Green In 19’ Photo Competition in the British Legion Hall Gallery from 1-4pm.
