The Enniskillen Gift Card was the first town Gift Card to launch in Northern Ireland in November 2017, and it was named the best selling Card in the UK over the 2019 Christmas period and in 2020.

2020 Christmas period has recorded huge Gift Card sales in Enniskillen with initial targets being surpassed in November. As well as being the perfect gift at Christmas, The Enniskillen Gift Card is the ideal present for Birthdays, Anniversaries and other times of celebration including Communions, Confirmations, Teacher End of Term Gifts and Exam results. 

Enniskillen BID encouraged employers to buy its Enniskillen Gift Card to use as staff incentives. Redeemable with over 100 shops, restaurants, leisure providers and more in Enniskillen, employees received an incentive they valued with greater choice than with a gift card for a specific e-commerce site. The support from larger businesses who wanted to thank their staff for working during the difficulties of 2020 helped with the huge increase in sales. Local larger businesses such as Kerry Foods, Balcas, Western Brand, Ready Egg Products and Encirc increased the corporate sales by 250%. It was a massive boost for the Enniskillen economy. Employers were able to show their support for the town’s businesses- from small independents to larger chains- kick starting their local economy and locking spend in locally.

Noelle McAloon, Enniskillen BID,  was thrilled to record sales in excess of £120,000 (from 16 November – 24 December):

“We all can see the serious negative effects 2020 has had on local businesses and I am glad to be able to work on a project that has locked £120,000 into the Enniskillen economy and it has been a pleasure to deal with the larger businesses who were so keen to support local retail and the shop local ethos.  It is a perfect example of business supporting business in County Fermanagh” 

Enniskillen BID also encourages businesses themselves to use Enniskillen Gift Cards to reward customers. And in this economic climate, attempting to retain every single customer through effective reward programmes will be vital to recovery.
