Summer Solstice occurs on the day when the sun reaches its highest point in the sky, making it the longest day of the year. It is an ancient, spiritual tradition to celebrate on this day of the year and at Share Discovery Village we are throwing a special event to celebrate the beauty of the great outdoors. The Summer Solstice Celebrations will take place on Trannish Island, a beautiful island on Upper Lough Erne.  To get out to the island, everyone will jump in a canoe and paddle out – that’s when the celebrations begin! There will be a BBQ and a variety of fun activities for the kids to take part in such as a Scavenger Hunt and arts activities.
