Event Details

Enjoy a guided Lough Erne Curlew Cruise aboard Lady of the Lake.

As with the sold-out Curlew Cruises in 2018 and 2019, the RSPB Lower Lough Erne Islands reserve warden and assistant warden will be your guides as you set out to spot one of our most cherished birds. Our reserve in Fermanagh is one of the last strongholds and one of the most important breeding sites for this iconic and rapidly declining bird. As you make your way through the lough’s amazing maze of islands, you could also spot lapwings, oystercatchers, common sandpipers, terns, a range of gulls and breeding wildfowl – not to mention some Highland cows! Hear all about the year-round work that goes on across the RSPB-managed islands on Lough Erne for the benefit of breeding waders. And if you’re lucky there’s also the possibility of sighting skylarks, a kingfisher or even a peregrine falcon. For more information, call 028 9064 5630 (Mon to Fri, 9am to 5pm) or email Book now on Eventbrite Tickets are priced £20 or £16 for RSPB members (+ Eventbrite fee) and £12 for children (aged 3-16) or £9.60 for children (3-16) who are RSPB members. Please bring your membership cards on the day. Meet at Rossigh Jetty BT94 1PF (close to the Manor House Country Hotel) at 9.30am for 10am sailing.
