The Royal Ulster Academy (RUA) is the largest and longest established body of practicing visual artists in Northern Ireland and its Annual Exhibition is one of the highlights of the Northern Ireland arts calendar.  The Exhibition showcases work from emerging and established artists from all over the world alongside work by RUA Academicians and Associate Members. Including well known artists including those from Fermanagh Denise Ferran PPRUA  , Mavis Thomson RUA , Anthony Scott ARUA. Now in its 137th year, it continues to provide a platform for contemporary painting, sculpture, film, printmaking, photography and installation. Join us for a half day conference exploring key influential women in history.

Conference will also highlight what everyday life was like for ordinary women during 1912-1922. There will also be an historical re-enactment and a poetry reading. The fun starts at the Broadmeadow with special guests and activities. The parade itself will start from the Lakeland Forum at 3.30 pm and ‘Snaking’ it’s way around Ireland’s only island town will be a mix of traditional and carnivalesque floats, music and dancing performances. This year has a theme of Go Green In 19, come dressed the part and we’ll be handing out some environmental freebies to help you get into the festival spirit.
